What is ePoE?

In the past, CCTV systems that were positioned far away from NVRs required devices such as PoE extenders to increase transmission distances.

This resulted in challenging installs, additional power supplies and limited access to wider areas as the maximum transmission distance was only 100m.

Now with extended power over ethernet (ePoE) systems, the data transmission range can be increased up to 800m using a coaxial or Cat5 cable. You can now expand surveillance to different areas in your large site.

How ePoE works

With ePoE, you can extend the transmission range between your CCTV camera and NVR without needing to use extenders after every 100 metres. ePoE enables users to transmit power and data via a single cable between your security systems. This enables the user to not only save more when updating their systems, but also improve the system’s operation reliability. Alternatively, older sites using coax cables, as opposed to network cable, can enjoy the same benefits without wasting expenses to replace their cabling.
